The votes are counted, and the winner has been decided – Um Bongo is the Nation’s Favourite Casually Racist Song!

The quirky, upbeat song from the 1980’s advert impressed judges with it’s ‘subtle use of racial imagery’, and the ‘clever use of stereotypes from an Empire long gone’.

Other songs in the list include ‘I’ve Never Met a Nice South African’ from Spitting Image, and the Theme to ‘Curry & Chips’ by Spike Milligan.
